Die Radierungen in Schwarz und jeweils einer zweiten Farbe, darunter Oliv, Ocker und Blau, gedruckt. Im Druckvermerk von Künstler, Verfasser und Verleger signiert. Nach den Illustrationen zu L'Espoir die zweite, jedoch völlig verschiedene Arbeit von Masson zu einem Bürgerkriegsroman von Malraux "André Malraux' 1928 novel about civil unrest in China provided André Masson with a setting to whose oriental motifs he strongly inclined at this time.
