Arthur Rothstein was a deeply influential American photographer, whose work is characterized by visual precision, narrative strength, and a lasting social consciousness. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he created a vast and varied body of work, from iconic images of the Dust Bowl and rural America for the Farm Security Administration, to editorial and institutional photography later in life. Across these contexts, Rothstein maintained a keen eye for composition and a strong sense of empathy, capturing not only the hardships and resilience of his subjects, but also the quiet, often overlooked moments of everyday life that as a whole form a rich portrait of the 20th-century American experience. – In excellent condition.
