The German photographer Stefan Moses trained in Breslau, later working as a theater photographer in Weimar after the end of WWII. As of 1950, Moses worked for Stern magazine in Munich. He documented people in their professions in West Germany (Deutsche) and later in East Germany (Abschied und Anfang). In the following years, he devoted himself to portrait photography. He produced numerous illustrated books and photographed personalities such as Thomas Mann, Erich Kästner, Theodor W. Adorno, Otto Dix, Max Frisch and Martin Mayer. His life's work has been shown in various European exhibitions since 2003. – A few small very light dents, otherwise in near excellent condition.
