Edward W. Quigley's pioneering experiments with light abstraction distinguished him as a prominent modernist photographer of the 1930s. Quigley, however, also captured the essence of New York City through his lens, offering unique perspectives of its bustling streets, iconic landmarks, and vibrant energy. Despite being largely self-taught, Quigley's work garnered attention and acclaim, leading to exhibitions at prestigious institutions such as the J.
