Erasmus Schröter's "Nachtbilder" series, captured on infrared film with invisible flash, offers a glimpse into nocturnal life in the years 1980-1981 in the former GDR. From streetcar commuters to ballroom dancers, circus performers, and artists, these images portray a diverse array of nighttime scenes, enveloped in a surreal and transcendent atmosphere, reminiscent of theatrical performances. – One with backed tear, some edge wear, a few handling creases, otherwise in good condition.
