Astronaut Ed White floating in space, Gemini IV
Auktion 116

625€ (US$ 694)
Photographer: James McDivitt. Astronaut Ed White floating above Pacific Ocean, Gemini IV. June, 1965. Vintage chromogenic print on Kodak paper. 20,5 x 20,3 cm.
NASA's Project Gemini was designed to test technologies and techniques for the Apollo Program. The two-man Gemini spacecraft was larger and more sophisticated than its Mercury predecessor. The spacecraft was designed by a team of NASA engineers led by Jim Chamberlin, and built by McDonnell Aircraft, in St Louis. There were two uncrewed test flights (1964, 1965) and 10 crewed (March 23, 1965 until November 11-15, 1966) all launched on a Titan II missile. The Gemini flights helped NASA learn to work and live in space, paving the way for the successful Apollo human landings on the Moon. Gemini IV was the mission on which Ed White undertook America's first historic space walk. – Some handling marks/creases, slight edge wear, colors slightly shifted, otherwise in good condition.

Amerikanische Astonauten. 39 signierte Porträtfotos
Auktion 115

"Best wishes from the Moon"
Amerikanische Astronauten.
Eingelegt in Klarsichthüllen in modernem Ringalbum, Pappschuber.
B. "To Adolf Emminger.
Vorhanden sind u. a. Fotos von Alan L. Bean, Frank Borman, Vance Devoe Brand, Eugène A. Cernan, Charles Conrad (2, darunter 1 signiertes Originalfoto), Robert L. Crippen, Donn F. Eisele, Joe H. Engle, Ronald E. Evans, Charles G. Fullerton, Guy S. Gardner, John H. Glenn, Richard F. Gordon, S. David Griggs, Fred W. Haise, Terry J. Hart, James B. Irwin, Don L. Lind, Jack Robert Lousma, James A. McDevitt, Robert A. Parker, Harrison H. Schmitt, Russell L. Schweickart, Donald K. Slayton, Thomas S. Stafford, Richard H. Truly, Alfred M. Worden, ferner auch Bilder von Mondlandschaften nach NASA-Fotos, die „Prime Crew of Eight Manned Apollo Mission“, “Skylab Missions“, „Third“ bis „Eighth“ Space Shuttle Orbital Tests“ und vieles mehr.
