Presentation album of the Westfälische Stahlwerke Bochum. 1910. 137 p. with 63 halftone plates. Titles printed below the images, full leather (slight rubbing in edges, a few scratches) with gilt-stamped title and ornaments. Hannover 1910. Designed by Willi Roerts.

The design and typography of this attractive album is still strongly influenced by art nouveau. Includes one fold-out panoramic view of the factory and surroundings and one fold-out panoramic with detailed sectional drawing of the "Martinwerk", i.e. blast furnace, foundry and rolling mill. – In very good condition.

Documentation album of the Klement-Gottwald Steelworks. 1957. 13 vintage ferrotyped gelatin silver prints. Each circa 18 x 24 cm. First page with handwritten dedication in Czech. Each photo mounted to album board, bound in contemporary canvas album (slightly time-stained in edges) with chord binding.

Photographer unknown. Postwar European coal mining. 1950s. 11 vintage ferrotyped gelatin silver prints. Each circa 24 x 18 cm and reverse. Each with notation in pencil and several with typed press text label attached to the verso.

The images show Belgian, Austrian, Turkish and German coal mining in the phase of reorganization after WWII supported by the Marshall Plan. – Some light handling marks, each with tape on the verso, otherwise in very good condition.

Photographer unknown. Documentation photos of early reinforced concrete construction, Fußach, Bregrenz, Germany. 1907. 5 vintage gelatin silver prints. Each circa 18 x 13 cm. Each with architect's stamp and annotated in pencil on the verso.

This very unusual series of images documents the construction of one of the first major iron-concrete buildings in Germany. The engineering company Heimbach & Schneider built a water tower in Fußach near Bregenz in 1907. The original photographs are accompanied by an offprint of the magazine "Beton u. Eisen" from October 1907. The Königliche Anatomie in Munich, the first building of its kind, was also built the same year. – A few light traces of use, minimal silvering in edges, otherwise in good condition.

Souvenir album Werkstoff-Schau Berlin. 1927. 30 vintage gelatin silver prints. Each circa 12 x 17 cm. Mounted to card, bound in leather album with silver embossed title Werkstoff-Schau Berlin 1927 with chord binding.

This rare album features the top achievements of the German metal and electrical industry - exhibited in Berlin in 1927. Also featured are Reichspräsident von Hindenburg during his tour along with the leaders of the German metal industry. The album also includes a presentation letter to the presumed owner of the album Dr. Georg Masing (1885-1956), one of the most important inventors and metal experts of his time. – Some with mirroring in edges, otherwise in very good condition.

In 1953 Doris Martha Weber was awarded the "Stuyvesant Peabody Memorial Award for the Greatest Service to Pictorial Photography" by the Photographic Society of America. Five of her industrial images are in the collection of the Smithsonian Institute. – Some light surface rubbing, minimal edge wear, glue residue from outing on verso, otherwise in good condition.

Corners bumped, a few photos with nicks in edges, slight oxidation mirroring in edges, a few photos with stronger oxidation, otherwise in good condition.

Documentation album with views of the construction of the Inn channel, Germany. 1919-1922. Circa 130 gelatin silver prints. Various sizes most circa 12 x 17 cm and some smaller. Mounted to card, bound in cloth album (edges slightly rubbed).
Extensive documentation of the individual stages of construction of the channel and the hydroelectric power station built simultaneously. – Some with oxidation mirroring in edges, otherwise in very good condition.

Photographer unknown. Shipyard in Stettin. 1880. Vintage collodion print. 23,3 x 29,5 cm. Mounted to board, annotated in pencil on mount verso.

The Stettiner Maschinenbau Actien-Gesellschaft Vulcan, founded in 1857 in Bredow near Stettin, was a pioneer of modern iron shipbuilding. For many years it was one of the leading shipyards in Germany, both in civil and military shipbuilding, where the largest and fastest passenger ships in the world at the time were built. In addition, the shipyard built over 4000 steam locomotives. – A few light pressure marks, otherwise a rich dark print in very good condition.

Various sizes, most circa 16 x 21 cm and 19 x 17 cm and 8,5 x 11,2 cm. Each mounted to board, first page with calligraphic bound in full leather album with gilt-embossed title Schwelwerk Offleben front cover (some scuff/scratch marks).
