The official residence of the State Council of the GDR was built in 1962-1964 in the style of "DDR Moderne". The photographs offered here of the interiors were taken shortly after 1989 and show the unchanged condition of the 1960s. For a short time (1999-2001), until the completion of the new building for the Chancellery, it was the official residence of the Chancellor. – A few light handling marks, one print with surface soiling, otherwise in good condition.

Rietmann ran a photography studio in St. Gallen, Switzerland. It was here, where he photographed the Austrian philosopher and founder of the Waldorf School, Rudolf Steiner. – Minimal silver mirroring in lower edge, otherwise in very good condition.

Selected nudes, some with Paul Wunderlich in Székessy's studio. 1970s. 17 vntage gelatin silver prints. Each circa 23 x 17 cm. Mounted to black photo boards with linen joints, folded and bound as a leporello.
In 1971 Karin Székessy married the artist Paul Wunderlich and they embarked on various art projects combining his art work and her photographs. Both strongly influenced each other in their work. This small album with a collection of her early prints is a wonderful document of this period of her work. – A few light handling creases in left edge, corners bumped and small crease in upper left corner and upper right, a few light handling marks, otherwise in very good condition.

The Tairraz family of Chamonix produced several generations of Alpine photographers. In 1857 Joseph Tairraz began taking daguerrotypes and took the first photographs at the summit of Mont Blanc in 1860. He provided tourists and mountaineers with souvenir portraits and mountain views. His son Georges, who was an apprentice to Pierre Petit in Paris, took over the studio circa 1882 which was then called "Tairraz Alpine Photographic Studio". The studio continued throughout the 20th century. – A fine tonal print in excellent condition.

In the 1930s-40s Elsa Thiemann made detail studies of various everyday objects, which were also published in magazines as "Rätselbilder" (mystery images). – A few light handling marks, one with crease in lower left corner, one with light glue stain from verso, otherwise in very good condition.
